Problems with mobile internet?
Then check your mobile internet settings.
For iPhone users:
Go to Settings>Mobile data>Options Mobile data>Mobile data network. At?APN? enter ?web.be?. Then return to your start screen. Your mobile internet should now work again.
For Android users:
Go to Settings>Mobile networks>Access Points. Add a new access point. Name it JIM Mobile, and enter web.be at APN. Save it, and activate the access point. Your mobile internet should now work again.
Tip for both iPhone and Android: if the “R” for roaming is displayed on your screen, please activate your roaming option. To be able to surf optimally in Belgium, this is necessary. No need to worry though: by activating this option within Belgium, no extra costs will be charged. But if you go abroad, and do not wish to use mobile internet there, don’t forget to deactivate your roaming option.
Here’s a few additional tips.
- You have no network connection. No need to panic. This is for a few brief moments only. You don’t have to reboot your phone, unless we send you a text explicitly asking you to do so.
- You’ve switched off your phone, or your battery was dead. No problem at all. If we notice your phone was off when we try activating your SIM card on our new platform, we’ll activate your SIM card later.
- You’re abroad during activation. Again: no problem at all. If we notice you were roaming when we try activating your SIM card on our new platform, we’ll activate your SIM card later.
- You don’t receive any calls. That’s a big nuisance, but this problem will also be solved soon. You don’t have to reboot your phone, unless we send you a text explicitly asking you to do so.
- Having trouble topping up? There’s a chance your top-amount isn’t immediately available on your SIM card; If that’s the case, please wait for a few minutes and the problem should be solved. If that’s not the case, please get in touch with our helpdesk info@jimmobile.be or 1984 (free of charge).
